HFT 3512 Event Promotions (Spring 2022) 4.7/5
Student 1: My instructor was very reliable with communication and was able to help whenever it was necessary.
Student 2: Bell obviously put a lot of effort into this course and always came prepared to teach despite this being her first time teaching the course and her busy schedule as a PhD student. She also consistently asked for feedback throughout the course, which helped improve the course as we were taking it.
Student 3: Very knowledgeable about the course.
Student 4: Does well to make sure students understand the work/ assignment. Always willing to help.
Student 5: Professor Bell was the nicest professor I ever had. She was always so kind and willing to meet with students to clarify any confusion we may have had with assignments or projects and is so understanding and compassionate. She is also clearly very passionate about the event industry and that made the lectures more interesting.
Student 6: The professor’s passion for the course and subject matter as well as her experience in the field. Her approachability and openness to providing feedback and scheduling meeting times. Open and encouraging to feedback regarding her own performance. Finally, the presentations and projects were very useful and the discussions prompted me to think.
HFT 4468 Hospitality Revenue Management (Fall 2023) 4.6/5
Student 1: The instructor was enthusiastic about what she taught and the assignments helped me understand important topics.
Student 2: The instructor encouraged us to email her parts of our project before they were due and gave us constructive feedback on how to make improves. This really helped us perfect our project before actually submitting.
Student 3: Professor Pan is amazing! Her coursework and load is perfect for this course and she goes above and beyond to make sure each one of her students succeeds. Everyone in our class has said Professor Pan (Bell) helped them with an issue or questions they had multiple times. She is very responsive and doesn’t just give a short response, she gives detailed and valuable feedback. Because of her I am seriously thinking about pursuing a career in Revenue Management! I cannot say enough great things about her. So grateful to have her as a professor!
Student 4: I do not have any suggestions. The powerpoint presentations, the videos embedded, the transcription of the presentations, the quizlets created for each chapter, Discovery learning assignments, and discussions. Everything is so well organized and easy to navigate.
Student 5: Fantastic! I’m a stronger revenue manager as a result of this course. I’m able to identify a more customer–centric value over–profit philosophy, which has been beneficial to me thus far. I’ve been applying while studying at the same time, and the results are amazing.
